Online Consultations
For clients who are unable to attend the clinic, I have updated my practice to offer Telehealth services through two online platforms called Zoom and Physitrack.
What is Telehealth?
Telehealth consultations are online video/audio calls between a physiotherapist and a patient, to allow you to connect with your smartphone, tablet or computer. Telehealth has the ability to offer a continuation of care, education and advice; allows a progression of exercises and self management techniques; and a platform for patients to ask any questions regarding their ongoing rehabilitation.
Will my complaint be suitable for Telehealth?
Most women’s health and musculoskeletal injuries are suitable for Telehealth physiotherapy consultations. If your injury isn’t suitable for a Telehealth consultation I will let you know and no fee will be charged.
With online consultations, I can provide education about your condition, methods of self assessment, undertake a musculoskeletal assessment online, identify contributing factors from your lifestyle and prescribe a self management and exercise program. I am also available for ongoing email support between sessions and liaise with your other healthcare providers.
Will my private health insurer cover Telehealth appointments?
Good news! Due to the changing world climate and COVID-19, Private Health Insurers recently changed their practice and now acknowledge physiotherapy Telehealth services. Please check with your individual insurer for details on the rebate they provided.
How do I pay for the sessions?
We have the option of either bank transfer, credit card or PayPal.
Sessions will be discounted by 20% from my standard consultation rates.
Which online platform is suitable for me - Zoom or Physitrack?
For all new clients, I will email you a link to a Zoom consultation. All you need to do is click on the link and follow the prompts. It’a as simple as that.
For continuing clients who already use Physitrack with Enlighten, we can continue to use the PhysiApp for Telehealth appointments.
